For generations, your puny planet has lived in peace with the Globetrotter Homeworld. But now, for no reason, we challenge you to defend your honor on the basketball court. Will no one meet our challenge!? Have none of you pathetic Earthlings game!?
What's at Stake?
Absolutely NOTHING!!

-Ethan "Bubblegum" Tate & Fry, Futurama

Last Friday was the volleyball class match here at school, basically just an intramural tournament between the different classes with nothing at stake for anyone whatsoever. Classes were cancelled for the entire day, so all I had to do was show up to school and be bored out of my mind for about six out of eight hours. I did have my camera though, so I took it upon myself to document the highlights of the day in the time-honored tradition of digital photography.

These are the pictures.
These are the people.
This... is their story.

(Heh, heh. That was sweet.)

The killing fields.

When I saw Imamura-sensei lookin' like she just stepped out of her low-rider I asked her If I could take her picture, and she was like, "Who's Imamura-sensei?? If you gonna step to me you'd better be damn skippy that you call me I-Loc... yo!"
Nah, I asked her to do the hand thing actually.

By the look on his face, I think Matsumoto had never seen a camera before this moment.

A 3rd Year girls' team discusses where to deploy claymores on their opponent's side of the court.

So a few hours after taking the picture of Imamura-sensei, these guys come up to me and ask to have their picture taken and look what they do. Word travels fast.
People worry about rap music promoting gang culture, but what about the JET Programme? :P

One of the students found a stray kitten on the grounds and he became the school mascot for the day. I'm not sure which is cuter, the cat or Ishii-sensei.

My finest photographic moment of the day. I came back inside near the end of the tournament and there was no one else in the building... except Kumate-sensei, just standing there, sharing a silent moment with his goldfish.
Ansel Adams has got
nuthin on me!!

Yeah, so it's been a while, I've been busy, I'm a slacker, it's not my fault, blah blah. So what's been going on?

I went to Dazaifu with Nicole while she was here visiting for the week. What's a Dazaifu you ask? Well, it's an historic shrine that's famous for, among other things, it's beautiful fall colors. Kind of an abstract claim to fame, but man were they something!! I mean, of course pictures can't do it justice, but what the hell, here's one you can even use for a desktop background if you're so inclined.

There was a cool little Zen garden not too far away so we checked that out and were greeted by this little stone monk guy just chillin out, sayin' "Yo, wassup. I'm a stone monk guy." I love this photo, by the way. Man I was on that day, as far as my photography skills go.

Now get this, the following pictures were taken when me and Nicole went clubbing. The amazing bit is that, since my camera died, and we couldn't get the flash to work on hers, we had to end up taking photos on my cel phone's camera. Yes, these are pictures taken with a cel phone!!! It just blows my mind!! Dammit, I love technology!!

Anyway, it's late now, but I gots lots more to say this week. I'll be back!
