The Jet Files - Jason Rivas' site about life in the JET Programme. This is the site that inspired me to start my own (albiet with more of a spin on life in Japan rather than life as a JET). I have to admit that I liked it better earlier on when each entry came with relavent pictures (hmmmmm, does that sound like a familiar format??), but it's always insightful. It's definitely worth it if you have time to go back in the archives and start reading from Day 1 when Jason left for Japan and follow him on his journey until today. I can only hope that my site will one day be as substantial as his. Rock on, Jay!! |

AltaVista's Babel Fish - Ever find yourself looking at a Japanese web site and wishing to hell you knew what the hell it said? Wish no longer, weary web-traveller! Babel Fish is waiting to instantly translate Japanese, or Spanish or German or French and probably even a couple others into something you can understand. A neat feature is that you can either cut and paste small portions of text for translation or input the URL and view the page and it's corresponding links through a Babel Fish filter!! But beware, sometimes these "translations" are so bad you'll probably pee yourself laughing. |

Metropolis - Formerly called Tokyo Classified (which is what their URL still is actually), this online magazine has oodles of great Japan info, news, articles, et al. Often the information will specifically be regarding Tokyo or at the least life in the Big Japanese City. Bet you didn't see that coming, what with it being called Metropolis and all. ;) |

Penny Arcade - You got me, this has nothing to do with Japan at all, but it's hands down the funniest web comic I've ever read. If you're even slightly interested in video games or the F-word, you owe it to yourself to bookmark this site. |

Real Ultimate Power - The Official Ninja Homepage- Quite possibly the funniest site on the internet (or the stupidest. Probably both). If you weren't aware of it, Ninjas are sweet. This page details exactly why. The sample movie scripts come highly reccomended. |
